Studio 2000 Art Gallery

Studio 2000 Art Gallery is one of the leading galleries in Dutch and Belgian art. Originally established in 1985 by Howard Myers in Amsterdam specializing in work by Jan Toorop and his most important contemporaries. Since then Studio 2000 built a pre-eminent position in the world of modern Dutch paintings from the early 20th century and organized successful exhibitions. Since 1993 the gallery published a highly appreciated quarterly magazine. In addition, the gallery published various books on artists such as Jan Toorop. We work closely with museums and art historical institutions to present the highest quality for our collectors. 

Since 2001, his son and daughter have joined the family-owned business and opened a gallery in the picturesque Blaricum. Notable exhibitions, accompanied by publications, have been held by Leo Gestel, Tinus van Doorn, Isaac Israels, Jan Sluijters, and Jan Toorop.

The gallery has participated at the European Fine Art Fair in Maastricht since 1989 and last year sold important paintings and drawings to the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Boijmans van Beuningen Rotterdam, Dordrechts Museum, Boston Fine Arts Boston (MFA), and Metropolitan Museum New York.

Studio 2000 Art Gallery is one of the leading galleries dealing in modern Dutch and Belgian paintings from the early 20th century. The gallery focuses on modernist renewers, often unique in the art scene, and artists
with an international reputation such as Jan Toorop and Theo Van Rysselberghe. 
Its reputation was built on organizing exhibitions with art-historical focus and by maintaining a close working relationship with the most important Dutch museums. 

The gallery published several books on artists such as Jan Toorop and always maintained a close relationship with museums and historical art institutions to ensure the highest possible quality for its clients. Throughout the years Studio 2000 organized highly appreciated exhibitions for artists like
Jan Sluijters, Leo Gestel, Jan Toorop, Tinus van Doorn, Isaac Israels, all accompanied by publications.
